Sculpture | Cloud Trees
At the exit leading from the Asian Games Village to the main stadium, a parametric design weaves the skeleton of clouds and the form of trees—octahedrons growing through transformation, like a digitally generated forest, suspended between reality and imagery, named Cloud Trees.
Flowing like clouds, yet offering the shade of trees; rooted like trees, yet as light as clouds. They merge the data streams of computation with the breath of nature into a silent dialogue.
As night falls, light awakens. Thousands of luminous points suddenly blossom, like fireworks frozen against the sky, casting the space into a starry dome—the hub connecting village and venue is no longer merely a passage, but a celebration of light and future, a tender footnote to an era.
Parametric design is becoming increasingly popular in the sculpture manufacturing industry. As one of the largest suppliers of sculptures in China, wemedec team specializes in using functional methods to carry out detailed design, optimizing structure, production processes, and cost control. Many other sculpture studios lack this advanced design capability, which is why the surface tension and smoothness of their sculptures are often not perfect.
WEMEDEC is dedicated to enhancing spaces through art by offering turnkey solutions—from conceptual design, detailed development, and structural engineering to production, shipping, and on-site installation (for large-scale sculptures). Our team serves global clients with professional expertise. Our portfolio includes sculptures, art installations, and more, ideally suited for science museums, real estate developments, parks, municipal projects, luxury hotels, and villas.
